The NCAA ratified a new constitution that eliminated its previous non-discrimination policy and includes no explicit protections for LGBTQ+ athletes, women, and athletes of color. The new constitution claims to support diversity, equity, and inclusion, but without any meaningful enforcement tool, leaving college athletes vulnerable to the bigoted politics of local communities and states.

They deserve better!

Join us in asking the NCAA to show us its playbook on how it will now protect LGBTQ+ athletes, women, and athletes of color.

We want all LGBTQ+ athletes to have the freedom to be who they are, to love whom they love, and to compete on an equal playing field with their peers regardless of their sex, gender, or gender identity. Let them play the sports they love without discrimination!

The NCAA’s action also highlights the critical importance of the Equality Act, which would provide explicit federal civil rights protections not only for trans and non-binary college athletes but for all LGBTQ+ people, women, and people of color nationwide.
