Count Me In.

We need you to fight for trans rights! Join HRC’s Count Me In movement for transgender and non-binary people who are under attack from anti-LGBTQ+ extremists.

Enemies of equality are advancing well-coordinated and well-funded campaigns against our community. They are targeting trans and non-binary kids and adults with an unprecedented onslaught of bills in state legislatures across the country. And this is happening at the same time that transgender people, especially Black and Brown trans women, are facing a record level of violence — fueled by the propaganda being spread about the community. Those of us who have experienced hate simply for being ourselves know the long-lasting damage this can have on people’s lives.

We’re asking you to join us in fighting for our transgender and non-binary siblings by signing our Pledge and working every day to make the world a safer and more equitable place for trans and non-binary people. Please add your name and get your FREE sticker to show your support today! Those who pledge will also be contacted for future actions you can take to demonstrate your commitment to equality.

READ THE FULL PLEDGE

How many transgender and non-binary lives must be threatened and attacked for people to pay attention? How many hateful bills will anti-equality politicians have to put forward for more folks to say they’re sick of it? How much dangerous and stigmatizing propaganda about trans and non-binary people will influential people get away with spreading before it’s finally a deal-breaker? When will enough be enough?

Enough starts today… with you and your commitment to uplifting and supporting the transgender and non-binary community. It’s going to take all of us to push back against this hate. Can we count you in?

COUNT ME IN.

This is about more than words on paper: This is about taking action, fighting back and showing up in a real way for transgender and non-binary people every chance you get. This is about turning our solidarity into our collective power, putting in the work to advance equality and justice.

Together, we can transform the world.

TRANSGENDER PEOPLE ARE UNDER ATTACK EVERYWHERE

In state legislatures across the country...

Anti-equality politicians are acting to separate trans youth from their families, educators, support systems and friends. They are determined to isolate and endanger trans and non-binary kids just to mobilize their radicalized, contrarian bases. Picking on and threatening the most vulnerable among us isn’t just bullying — this is cynical, unscrupulous and potentially deadly governing.

These politicians are banning trans kids from playing sports consistent with their gender identity. They’re banning books with LGBTQ+ characters from school libraries and discussions of LGBTQ+ people from classrooms. They’re banning drag story hours. They want to make it harder for students to establish LGBTQ+ allied student groups in schools and to force teachers to “out” students to their parents before the student is ready. And they’re trying to deny trans kids from receiving age-appropriate, medically necessary, gender-affirming healthcare — best-practice care that could save their lives. When they attack our kids — a whole generation of trans and non-binary people — they attack our entire community.

Transgender lives are on the line.

Transgender adults are also at grave risk. Recent years have been among the deadliest years on record for trans people, especially Black and Brown trans women. The people violently taken from us aren’t numbers or statistics. They are loving partners, parents, family members, neighbors, coworkers and friends. This violence is an epidemic, fueled by disinformation and hate, and it must be stopped.

We’ve had enough. It's on us to do something about this. We need you to take action with HRC and transgender and non-binary people around the globe to raise awareness and protect, enrich and uplift their lives. Can we count you in?
