It is very important to me that Ohio is welcoming to everybody and that all Ohioans are protected from discrimination at work, when seeking housing, and in accessing public services and places, which would be provided by HB 369, the Ohio Fairness Act.

LGBTQ Ohioans are currently at risk of being fired from their workplace, denied access to housing, and turned away from public services and places. The current patchwork of municipal ordinances are difficult for businesses and LGBTQ individuals to navigate—no one should lose and gain rights while they drive to and from work. That's why we need statewide non-discrimination protections.

I'm writing to urge you to please do what you can to ensure that the Ohio Fairness Act receives hearings and to vote yes if you are given the opportunity to allow it to move through the legislative process.
