Tell Your U.S. Senators to Support the Equality Act!

We need to pass the Equality Act … and HRC needs your support to do it. If enacted, the Equality Act will establish explicit and consistent protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity at the federal level.

Momentum is at our backs right now. In May 2019, the Equality Act passed the U.S House of Representatives with bipartisan support … and, in June 2020, the Supreme Court affirmed the rights of LGBTQ workers to be protected from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in Bostock v. Clayton County.

We’re seeing support for this crucial bill and its protections grow strong, but we must keep going!

Join us in ensuring your U.S. Senators support this critical bill by sending a letter to them directly. Your voice matters and will make all the difference, so we drafted a letter to send below. Take a look, personalize as you’d like and we’ll send it directly to them!
