Coordinated extremist groups are spreading misinformation and pushing dangerous efforts, while lawmakers in various states are trying to roll back LGBTQ+ rights. Take Action to Protect Marriage Equality and LGBTQ+ Rights

Today, I join the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to defend marriage equality and oppose any and all efforts to roll back the rights and protections of LGBTQ+ people and their families.

I am deeply concerned by these extreme attacks on this community that spread misinformation, target same-sex couples, and threaten the well being, safety, and legal protections of millions of Americans. These attacks are not only harmful — they undermine the fundamental promise of equality and justice for all.

I call on lawmakers at the state and federal level to defend the law that guarantees marriage equality nationwide, condemn these dangerous and hateful attacks, and reaffirm that every couple deserves equal protection under the law.

Our country is better than this — love will always win, and every person deserves the freedom to build a life with the person they love.
