The violent beating and death of Nex Benedict, a 16-year-old non-binary high school student of Owasso, Oklahoma, are horrifying and a tragic reminder of how many attacks there are on transgender and non-binary young people in this country.
Across the country, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and non-binary youth are very vulnerable to attacks from hateful extremists right now — and they need to hear from us, from our community.
Please share a note of love and support to LGBTQ+ youth today. We’ll post them online and get the word out as widely as possible. They need to know they are seen; they are known, and they are loved. We will not abandon the most vulnerable and precious among us, our LGBTQ+ youth.
In times like these, words can fail us, but we’ll help you get started.
Thank you for loving and supporting our LGBTQ+ youth.
