The Michigan House and Senate passed legislation to amend the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to include explicit protections for sexual orientation and gender identity — and Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed it into law!

This legislation sends a clear message that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people belong in Michigan — and discrimination will not be tolerated.
