Your Call Script

Hello, my name is _____, and I’m from ______. As a voter and a constituent, I urge Senator _____ to support the Respect for Marriage Act, which just passed the House with strong bipartisan support. Over seventy percent of the American people support the right of same-sex couples to marry. And the Respect for Marriage Act would shore up protections for marriage equality nationwide.

Please be on the right side of history and vote for the Respect for Marriage Act.

Thank you.

The HRC blue and yellow logo is one of the most recognizable symbols in the LGBTQ+ community. Unveiled in 1995, it symbolizes the fight for equal rights across the country and around the world. In 2013, HRC shared a red version of its logo — representing love — on social media and asked people to use it as their profile photos to show their support for marriage equality. The HRC red logo went viral, and millions of people shared it across the Internet. In 2015, HRC brought back the red logo to celebrate the constitutional right to marriage equality. Once again, as we head into a close vote in the Senate on the Respect for Marriage Act, we share this logo as a reminder of our commitment to marriage equality.
